Steampunk Couture is a design label created by British-born, California-living designer,
Kate Lambert… better known as Kato. She creates hand-crafted clothing focusing on
Neo-Victorian, Sci-Fi and Shabby Chic fashion.
As a model and style innovator, Kato has carved herself a niche with her embodiment of the 1800′s rebellious, strong, yet feminine woman. This little lady has got some serious style and a wicked eye for the unique and obscure. She’s making a name for herself in the Steampunk world, so keep your eyes peeled!

Yulia Brodskaya’s relationship to paper is to be both praised and envied. We could go on and on about her fantastic creations but I think we’ll let the work speak for itself.
Yulia Brodskaya hails from the UK but was born in Russia (Moscow). Yulia describes her work as a bringing together all the things she likes most: typography, paper, and highly detailed hand-made craft objects. Aside from being a talented paper artist, she is also a gifted illustrator and designer with a clientele list that spans the globe.

The art of Francesca Crescentini has stolen our hearts with a roster of cuddly ghosts, zombie geishas and pirate bunnies created in a style that we can only describe as the love child of Tim Burton and Pikachu.
These FAT (and not-so-fat) MONSTERS have seen growing popularity on an international level, including many commissioned works and custom tattoos.
To view more of Francesca’s art, get in touch, or commission a piece, check out her blog francescacrescentini.wordpress.com.

In recent days, we’ve spent some time getting re-addicted to Delicious. For those of you who don’t have an account, we suggest you get one! Over the years, Delicious has become a staple for finding inspiration, solving problems, and the simple enjoyment of discovering amazing new things.
The latest of our amazing discoveries are the Surreal Illustrations of Ryohei Hase.
There are many things that make this artist great (to say the least) but it’s his use of melancholy characters put in to a state of intense chaos that really got us. Feelings of depression, desperation, panic, vulnerability, grace and strength erupt from his images and we don’t mind one little bit… Bring it on Ryohei Hase!
For full-sized appreciation of this visionary artist, we recommend you visit his profile on DeviantART. For more information, visit Ryohei Hase’s Official Website.

The fantastically deceased dollies of Megan Majewski. Need we say more?
… Ok maybe a little bit of extra information would be helpful.
Megz is a Vancouver artist who’s art we’ve seen mature and refine over the last few years.
While her older work embodies the sweet and disturbing nature of all her paintings, the
more recent pieces have come to take on a life of their own. These exceptional little darlings
are a blending of dark humor and sexuality for the innocently evil.
Unfortunately her most recent show was on Oct. 6th but if you are in Venice, CA next month
be sure to check her out at The C.A.V.E. Gallery (1108 Abott Kinney Blvd) on November 11th.
